On September 23, at 4pm, College of San Mateo will honor nine decades of its athletic legacy when it dedicates the Athletic Hall of Fame Plaza during a ribbon cutting ceremony. Sixteen former athletes and coaches will be inducted in the inaugural class of inductees and their names will be enshrined on granite and bronze pillars permanently on display in the Plaza.

College of San Mateo will celebrate the completion of its four-story, 140,000 square foot signature building, College Center, on April 14 at 2:30 pm with a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house.

Self-guided tours, entertainment and refreshments. Open to everyone, free parking available in student lots.

College of San Mateo’s new Health and Wellness Building, which opened in 2010, has been honored with the 2011 Sustainable San Mateo County Green Building Award for Non Residential.

The design-build team of McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. and architectural firm Kwan Henmi Architecture/Planning, Inc. completed construction on College of San Mateo’s new Health and Wellness Building with an adjacent Aquatics Center.

The swimming pools at College of San Mateo’s new aquatics and fitness center are filled with water and ready for instruction use and competition.

On Wednesday, March 24, College of San Mateo will officially introduce its new Health and Wellness Building to the community with a Ribbon Cutting and Open House. Beginning at 3:30pm, the event will take place at the Plaza entrance to the new building. The celebration will begin with a brief program followed by a self guided tour of the building and refreshments.

San Mateo, CA; December 11, 2007—College of San Mateo’s state-of-the-art Science Building and Planetarium were awarded last week for their construction and design by California Construction magazine. CSM, along with McCarthy Building Companies, architects LPA Inc. and structural engineers Rutherford & Chekene, received the industry publication’s Best of 2007 Northern California Award of Merit for their work on the project.

College of San Mateo is pleased to announce that its new planetarium re-opened for classes today —the first day of the community college’s summer session. Community shows are planned to resume in July and other outreach events this fall.
