CSM Women Roll Over Ohlone, 91-50, in Coast North Home Opener

Kyanna Wiley had 26 points and 14 rebounds while Megan Jajeh had 25 points and eight assists as College of San Mateo ran past visiting Ohlone College, 91-50, Saturday in the first home Coast North Conference women’s basketball game of 2018. Alyssa Albin added 18 points.

Kaitlyn Tamondong had seven assists and is the Coast North season leader with a 5.5 average (No. 5 in the state). Wiley ranks No. 2 in Coast North rebounding with a 10.8 average.

It was the second highest point total of the season by the Bulldogs (5-12, 1-1 Coast North), who had a 95-92 tournament win over De Anza on Dec. 28. Ohlone fell to 0-13, 0-2.

CSM will host Las Positas on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 5 p.m. in the first Coast doubleheader with Cañada. The Colts are using the San Mateo gym this season and will play the same foe at 7 p.m.
