On Friday, May 29, College of San Mateo will celebrate the awarding of 1,857 associate degrees and certificates to students at the college’s 93rd commencement ceremony. The ceremony begins at 5:00 pm in the college’s Gymnasium, Building 8.

On Tuesday, June 2, 2015, CSM’s Nursing Program celebrates its 50th graduating class with two special events. The festivities begin with an Open House, hosted by the Nursing Program, from 1:30-4:30 pm in CSM’s Health and Wellness Building.

The largest California Community College Athletic Association championship event, track and field, returns to College of San Mateo this weekend, May 15-16, for the fourth time. While most of the finals will be conducted Saturday afternoon (with opening ceremonies at 1:25 p.m.), there will be running championships on Friday in the women’s and men’s 10,000 meters, starting at 11 a.m., along with eight field events and the first day of the decathlon and heptathlon (starting at 9:30 a.m.).

A perfect 43 is the target for College of San Mateo’s unbeaten and top-ranked softball team entering the California Community College Athletic Association Championships at Bakersfield College, May 15-17. The first CSM softball team to complete a perfect regular season (35-0) has added a 5-0 playoff record and will be seeking the college’s first state crown.

After sweeping both state regional baseball opening round games with visiting Merced, College of San Mateo has advanced to the second round of the California Community College Athletic Association playoffs. The Coast Golden Gate champion Bulldogs (26-11) will visit Santa Rosa JC (28-10) for a best two of three series, Friday through Sunday, May 8-10.

Following a first round sweep of American River College, 15-6 and 4-1, College of San Mateo undefeated softball team is set to host a second round super regional in the California Community College Athletic Association playoffs Friday through Sunday, May 8-10.
